WALG was conceived in the bleak stillness of the 2021 pandemic. After drifting apart for years, composer Robert Koning and vocalist Yorick Keijzer found their paths converging once more. Drawn together by the weight of life’s darker turns.

Named after the Dutch word for ‘disgust’, WALG channels its fury into sound, a reflection of loathing for the ignorance and sickness of mankind. Within three months, they unleashed their self-titled debut: a raw, unfiltered howl that resonated deeply with those attuned to the void. What followed was a relentless creative storm.
